VANCOUVER, Wash.—Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerer’s Balls, a XXX gay parody of the mainstream movie with a similar name, debuted on DVD and online Monday. The full-length feature film is believed to be the first to make extensive use of “green-screen” special effects with adult 3D content.

The plot loosely follows the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, based on a book by J.K. Rowling. In the gay XXX version, young wizard Whorrey Potter (Luke Marcum) and a group of friends must find the enchanted sorcerer’s balls before the evil Voldemorecock (Matthew Rush) can use them to further his diabolical plans. The questing wizards-in-training are assisted by mentor and drag queen extraordinaire Fag Hagrid (Mimi Imfurst). Eddie Diaz, Cameron Adams and Robert Van Damme appear in featured roles.

According to director-producer Dominic Ford, the film features a number of firsts for the gay adult industry.

“Whorrey Potter is the first feature-length 3D gay porn film,” he said. “It is also the first gay porn film to be shot entirely on green screen. The final scene features a threesome in which the boys are floating in the air—the industry’s first floating threesome. There are even floating cocks and many other elements that make this movie a unique and highly anticipated release.”

The movie also is the first adult or mainstream project to be released in “side-by-side” 3D format, which is compatible with the new generation of 3D TVs and monitors, Ford said. In addition, both 2D and 3D versions of the movie are available on the same DVD in high-definition.

“We are very proud of the way the movie turned out and are confident it will be well received,” Ford said. “Whorrey Potter is unique in so many ways, and it’s been a long process to create such a unique DVD incorporating many firsts in the industry. With that said, along with the A-list talent and special effects we are sure it will be a hit.”

Even before it was released, Whorrey Potter received 12 Grabby Award nominations, in categories including Best Movie, Best Comedy, Best Cum Scene, Best Videography, Screenplay, Art Direction and Best Director.

Attributes increase to bigger demand for plus-size lingerie

Mia Bulifa developed an idea for what is now the profitable lingerie business after trying to shop for plus-size lingerie. She couldn't find any plus-size sleepwear while shopping in the Denver area. Dismayed by the lack of choices for that niche in the market, Mia and sister Nadia launched Angelique Lingerie in 2005 in their mother's basement.

Apparently the sisters were onto something: Angelique Lingerie grew 54 percent last year, to date having served more than 20,000 customers from around the world. It's no longer run out of a basement, but rather a warehouse with seven employees plus the sisters. Angelique keeps more than 60 percent of its wide selection of items in stock.

Trends in the lingerie industry have included a greater selection in the plus sizes and the use of more colors and prints rather than the normal solids and blacks, Bulifa said. Because of the increasing market, Angelique Lingerie is increasing its inventory by about 40 percent this year, including adding new colors and items that go up to a size 6X.

Mia, 27, said that Angelique has little competition. Some plus-size stores sell lingerie and sleepwear, but very few specialize in it. Angelique sells sizes 14-28.

"Our goal is to dominate that market," she said.

Without a large marketing budget, Angelique invests most of what it does have in SEO and some web marketing. Recently Mia appeared on The Tyra Banks Show as part of an episode on breaking stereotypes, as an example of how a plus-size woman could be a successful businesswoman.

Both Nadia and Mia have adjusted to the sagging economy by working full-time jobs to avoid taking an income from Angelique, allowing them to instead reinvest profits into company growth. They also both are finishing bachelor's degrees at the University of Colorado.

Singer's lawyer sends cease and desist letter, TMZ reports

LOS ANGELES—Mindy McCready has threatened legal action against Vivid Entertainment Group if it doesn't destroy the sex tape of her with her ex-boyfriend that the company is set to release.

According to TMZ.com, the lawyer for the country singer and reality TV star sent Vivid a cease and desist letter that claims the tape was "never intended for sale or public distribution."

Vivid's tape, titled Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress, is said to include footage of the singer talking about her sexual exploits with former Major League pitcher Roger Clemens, among other high profile celebrities.

According to the report, the lawyer believes Vivid does not have the right to distribute the tape that McReady claims was stolen from her home three years ago.

Vivid executives were unavailable for comment at press time.

TMZ reports that the performer/fighter is in jail for 'assault with deadly weapon'

EL RENO, Okla.—Gay adult performer Damon Audigier was arrested Monday in connection with the overnight stabbing death of an 18-year-old El Reno, Okla., man.

Audigier, whose real name is Damon Richey, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and malicious injury to property after he and another man were apprehended near the scene of the slaying. Both suspects are being held in the Canadian County jail.

According to police reports, Richey, 19, of El Reno, and Jeremy Pendleton, 28, of Oklahoma City, argued with victim Levi Lusty several days earlier. Overnight Sunday, Richey and Pendleton broke a window to gain access to Lusty’s girlfriend’s home. When police arrived at about 2:30 a.m. in response to a vandalism call, they found Lusty’s body inside. Officers observed a black van leaving the scene, and when they stopped the vehicle, Pendleton attempted to flee. He was apprehended and charged with first-degree murder.

Three women in the vehicle—two adult females and one juvenile—were questioned and released.

A witness inside the house told police Pendleton and Richey confronted Lusty at the home earlier in the evening, left and then came back. Lusty and a male friend, Scott Engel, confronted Pendleton and Richey after they broke the window, and during the scuffle that ensued, Engel was injured and Lusty was killed.

Pendleton has a criminal record including arrests for robbery, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. Richey reportedly has no criminal history.

UK lapdancers also hit with increased taxes

LUXEMBOURG—Despite protests from the Beate Uhse chain of adult bookstores, the European Court of Justice has ruled that preview booths (better know in the U.S. as arcade booths), which allow patrons to see portions of adult movies before they buy them, are not considered to be "cinemas," and therefore do not meet the "cultural" exception from the Union's highest rate of Value Added Tax (VAT).

According to an article in Business Week, Erotic Center BVBA, a Belgian sex shop currently owned by the Beate Uhse chain, argued that its coin-operated booths qualified for the reduced 6 percent rate of VAT, just like other venues such as theaters, concert halls and movie theaters, instead of the standard rate of 21 percent.

The Sixth Directive of the European Economic Community requires all European Union member countries to charge a standard VAT rate for both products and services, but for certain categories, they're allowed to apply one of two reduced rates. Such categories—in this case the EEC's Category 7—include admissions to shows, theatres, circuses, fairs, amusement parks, concerts, museums, zoos, cinemas, exhibitions and similar cultural events and facilities, and reception of broadcasting services.

However, in 2004, European tax authorities carried out an audit on Erotic Center and ruled that it had incorrectly applied a VAT of 6 percent to income from the preview booths, and charged the company EUR 48,454.36 (US$65,317.07) for the underpayment as well as a EUR 4,840 (US$6,524.09) fine. Erotic Center appealed the decision, and the European Court of Justice rendered its opinion on March 18 of this year.

"[T]he various events and facilities listed in the first paragraph of Category 7 in Annex H to the Sixth Directive have in particular the common feature that they are available to the public on prior payment of an admission fee giving all those who pay it the right collectively to enjoy the cultural and entertainment services characteristic of those events and facilities," the Court ruled. "It follows from the above that the concept of admissions to a cinema within the meaning of the first paragraph of Category 7 in Annex H to the Sixth Directive cannot, in light of the usual meaning of that term and the context of the provision within which it is included, be interpreted as meaning that it covers the payment made by a customer so as to be able to watch on his own one or more films, or extracts from films, in private cubicles such as those in issue in the main proceedings."

The ruling will apply to all members of the European Union, but whether other entities will be forced to pay additional taxes and/or fines based on their preview booth incomes remains to be seen. It is also unclear How the increased VAT rate will be incorporated into the booths' vending operations.

In another tax-related ruling, the income earned by freelance lap dancers in the United Kingdom is now subject to a 17.5 percent VAT, according to the UK's High Court in London—and the ruling also specified that it is the dancers themselves who will have to pay the increased liability.

The case was originally brought by U.S.-based Spearmint Rhino cabarets, which sued after VAT tribunal decision claimed that "lap-dance venues were supporting a shadow economy in which millions of pounds went undeclared each year," and tried to assess Spearmint Rhino for supposedly lost revenue to the Crown.

Spearmint Rhino, however, argued that its dancers, all of whom are required to have a "Dance Performance Licence," were independent contractors who had to pay the clubs for the facilities she used and that there was no contract between the club and the men the dancer "entertained."

Mr. Justice Mann of the High Court said he agreed with Spearmint Rhino's position.

"It seems to me to be a very forced construction of events, if it is possible at all, to say that the dancers are contracted as agents for the club," the Justice ruled, adding that the clubs' method of operation suggested that the dancers are performers "plying their self-employed trade at the club in their own right."

Typical fees charged by dancers range from £10 for a semi-nude or £20 for a fully-nude dance, up to £250 for the dancer to sit and socialize with a customer for an hour. Peter Stringfellow, owner of a chain of lap-dancing clubs in London, estimated that a dancer can earn up to £200,000 per year, and that since the revenues usually are cash transactions, many dancers pay no income taxes at all.

Complaint alleges contributory and vicarious copyright infringement, among other allegations

SAN FRANCISCO—Three prominent adult gay studios have filed a joint lawsuit against the owners of three gay tube sites, alleging a bevy of copyright infringement and other charges. The sites are GayForIt.com, ItsAllGay.com and JerkYourTube.com.

Attorney Gill Sperlein, on behalf of Channel One Releasing, Corbin Fisher and Titan Media, filed the complaint Friday in a Northern California federal court against GLBT Ltd., Mash & New Limited, Port 80 Ltd., Steven John Compton and David Graham Compton, claiming copyright infringement, contributory copyright infringement, vicarious copyright infringement, trademark infringement, the misappropriation of rights of publicity, unfair business practices, alter ego and accounting.

“The websites operated by defendants, jerkyourtube.com, gayforit.com and itsallgay.com, serve as prime examples of websites designed with the sole purpose of redirecting profits from copyright holders to the un-invested poachers operating the infringing sites,” the complaint reads. “Defendants employ technological advancements to engage in massive willful infringement of copyrights belonging to plaintiffs and others and have thus deprived plaintiffs of the lawful rewards that should accompany creativity, financial risk, innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Defendants operate these sites while maintaining the fiction that they offer a forum for consumers to upload and share their own original ‘user-generated’ adult video content,” it continues. “In reality, defendants use these sites to collect and then re-sell access to an extensive collection of infringing adult videos, including works belonging to Plaintiffs."

The plaintiffs have requested a jury trial and are seeking damages of $29.1 million for copyright infringement, plus additional damages to be determined at trial and all attorney and legal fees. They also are asking that the court order the defendants to conduct a full accounting of the three websites in order to ascertain compensatory damages.

"The amount of compensatory damages due from defendants to plaintiff is unknown to plaintiffs and cannot be ascertained without a detailed accounting by defendants of the precise number of visitors to defendants’ website, the number of views of plaintiffs’ works from defendants’ website and the amount of income generated by the website," the complaint reads.

The plaintiffs also allege that brothers Steven and David Compton, through alter egos at times, maintained either a complete ownership interest in or direct control of each of the companies being sued.

Plaintiffs are represented by Titan general counsel Sperlein and Corbin Fisher general counsel Marc Randazza.

LOS ANGELES—AVN Hall of Famer Mr. Marcus is branching out into the literary world.

Nearly five years in the making, a new instructional tome by the perenially ball-capped cocksman titled The Porn Star Guide to Great Sex is due out this summer from St. Martin's Press.

"I got approached by an agent out of New York who represented various authors, and she asked me was I interested in writing a how-to," Marcus told AVN. "And I thought it was funny, because most books that are written by adult stars are memoirs—Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Heather Hunter—and I wasn't asked to do that. And when I went to the bookstore to do a little research, there were no books written by adult male stars; there were sex books written by women and there were sex books written by doctors. So I thought it would be an intersting take."

The Porn Star Guide contains 13 chapters on topics ranging from what men and women want to the ways diet and excercise can help improve sex. 

"It started out being written for females, but then I kept realizing that men were going to be reading this book, so it became a back and forth," Marcus said. "I would describe what women have told me they like sexually and what they want to be done to them, and then I would reiterate that through the man's perspective."

Each chapter of the book opens with an anecdote about one of Marcus' own on or off-screen experiences to serve as illustration for that chapter's lessons. 

"It's really about making adjustments in your life," Marcus explained. "Sex can be frustrating ... I mean, Viagra wouldn't have been created if there wasn't some frustration in the bedroom. And I'm Viagra-free, but I've been through those situations in the bedroom, and I realized sometimes taking a moment, just being creative, was probably number one to perform with someone successfully. And I write that throughout the book, just encouraging it."

Marcus noted that he's recruited industry legend Nina Hartley to write the book's forward. He also hinted that he may be continuing to explore the scribe path.

"I just finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy, and after reading a book like that, you're like, 'OK, the freedom of writers ... there's just a lot of freedom in that,'" he said. "And I'm sitting there and I'm thinking to myself, 'Could I finally be done with porn?' I picked up Tera Patrick's book and I was reading it, and there's a lot of interesting stories in this industry, and I don't think a lot of people get the oppurtunity to tell them. I would love to write more, and I would love to expand on what got me in this business and what I've been through, 'cause I've been through a lot. I've been through all kinds of crazy shit. I think people would be interested. I hope they would be."

Sex tape features reality star and country music singer in encounter with ex-boyfriend

LOS ANGELES—Country music singer and VH1 reality series star Mindy McCready shows off her sexual talents in a sizzling video being released by Vivid Entertainment through its Vivid-Celeb imprint.

McCready takes it off and gets it on with a boyfriend named "Peter" in the tape that contains almost an hour of action interspersed with a narrative about her former lovers, who included Red Sox and Yankees pitching great Roger Clemens, actor Dean (Superman/Clark Kent) Cain, country singer Alan Jackson and others.

Between scenes of her having enthusiastic and explicit sex with her ex-boyfriend McCready, who is now 34, talks at length about her past sexual conquests.

She said that she took a shower and had oral sex with Clemens when she was only 16 and he was 29. She maintains that contrary to widespread gossip Clemens did not seduce her when she was an underage (15-year-old) teen and they didn't have sexual intercourse until she was of legal age. She also reveals that Clemens was "good" in bed "when he could get it up."

McCready also says that while she never met Clemens' wife during the course of their long-running affair, there were some close calls, including the time Mrs. Clemens called her husband on his cell phone as he was lounging next to McCready in a bathtub.

The singer/actress also says that she became friendly with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and thought she "could have had sex with him," but declined the opportunity. In addition, she reveals that country singer Alan Jackson often brought her to his tour bus when she was just 17, but she declined to say what transpired during these visits.

McCready was one of nine cast members in the latest, third season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," which is in constant reruns. She discusses some of her relationship with Clemens on the show and she performed the title single from her recently released album “Mindy McCready I’m Still Here” on the last episode. The album is her first in eight years for the singe/songwriter best known for placing 12 singles on the Billboard country music charts and for her hits “Ten Thousand Angels,” and “Guys Do It All the Time.”

As a bonus feature Vivid has included a second sex video, Tom Sizemore Sex Scandal, an explicit sex tape featuring the troubled actor, who is McCready's co-star on the "Celebrity Rehab" program. The Sizemore video was first released by Vivid in 2005.

McCready's long-term romance with Clemens was exposed in the New York Daily News in April 2008.  According to the Daily News, McCready discussed her relationship with Clemens during therapy sessions with Dr. Drew Pinsky. She told the Daily News, "He certainly did ask my Dad for my hand and he wasn't divorced yet. That's abusive. He made me believe that someday we would be together. That was absolutely devastating to me." Clemens has denied that his relationship with McCready was a sexual one, claiming she was a friend of the family. "I never met his family," she claims on the video.

LOS ANGELES—Vouyer Media announced today that Wicked Pictures, in an unprecedented move, has agreed to allow contract girl Kirsten Price to join the cast of Vouyer's soon-to-shoot X-rated adaptation of legendary TV series Taxi.

Price will play Elaine O'Connor-Nardo, the sexy Marilu Henner-originated object of desire to Danny DeVito's Louie De Palma, who will be reprised by Ron Jeremy. Anton Slayer, hot off helming Vouyer's first-ever feature/parody effort, Not Really... The Dukes of Hazzard, returns as director of this sophmore outing, with the remaining cast including Monique Alexander, Jenny Hendrix, Eva Angelina, Anthony Rosano and Krissy Lynn.

"With her impeccable comic timing and sophisticated East Coast style and sensuality, I believe Kirsten Price is the perfect choice to play Elaine," said Vouyer publicist Daniel M. SAN FRANCISCO—“As the scorching sun pounds the shimmering sands of the Sahara, people go about their daily lives in a brutal, if exotic environment. Thus is the scene set for Tales of the Arabian Nights, at least as told by gay adult studio Raging Stallion. The six-disc set will begin shipping March 31.

Part One, directed by Chris Ward, consists of five scenes lasting a total of 178 minutes. The first, “The Tunisian Stable Boy,” invites viewers on a quest through the sexual labyrinth inhabited by an arrogant sheik (Alex Frietas). As his stable boy, Andre Barclay is required to worship the master, but he comes to relish the task.

In “Lebanon Strikes Back,” Tony Aziz—who is first-generation Lebanese-American—and Dominic Pacifico have at each other in a forgotten village deep in the desert. “Under the Crescent Moon” finds Francesco D’Macho and Wilfried Knight perform under the same stunning stone arch Ward used as a backdrop in 2005’s Arabesque. Connor Habib and Aybars—who are Syrian and Turkish, respectively—cavort in Aybars’ first-ever XXX scene, entitled “Aybars and the Family Jewels.”

Part One closes with “Fucking at the Turkish Bath,” which showcases a threesome between Angelo Marconi, David Dirdam and Austin Wilde. Shot in the courtyard of a Turkish bath house, the setting is an important fourth character in the scene.

“This is the finest movie I have ever made,” Ward said of the finished product.

That is no small comment from a man who has won dozens of awards for his work over the past several years. Tales of the Arabian Nights, Part One, is the first film he has directed solo in two years.

Part Two, directed by Ben Leon, offers four scenes covering 137 minutes. Steve Cruz, Aybars, Damien Crosse, Knight, Derrek Diamond, Ricky Martinez (also in his debut role), Dirdam, Antonio Biaggi, Marconi, Aziz and RJ Danvers in scenes entitled “Hairy Arabs,” “Sucking on the Hookah Pipe,” “Diamond in the Desert” and “Arabian Orgy.” More lavish sets and a 45-minute-long, five-man pileup are highlights.

Award-winning director Leon now leads RSS’ Buenos Aires division.
